Submitting to the Databases

Information for submitters

This page describes the procedures you need to follow to register your company or products with each of the assistive technology databases. We also describe the important data you are required (or permitted) to submit.

If you aren't sure which databases you should apply to, answer these questions and read our suggestions.

ABLEDATA  

Submissions:

You provide information to the database administrator via e-mail, phone or fax.

Maintenance:

You provide updates/changes via e-mail, phone or fax to database administrator.

Comments:

Abledata is primarily a "product-search" database. Manufacturers, distributors and vendors cannot be listed unless they have products associated with their name. However, the database can be searched for specific company/contact names.

Information you are requested to provide... For each product listing:

Brand Name,
Description (Up to 200 words),
Price,
Price Date (e.g. the date on which that price was valid),
Link to a Picture of this Product (optional).

Available from : Manufacturer or Local,
Manufacturer's Information (contact name, address, phone, etc.).
Manufacturer's Website, Manufacturer's E-Mail.

Distributor(s) Name and Phone Number,
Distributor(s) Website, Distributor(s) E-mail.

Indexing Terms [We suggest you research your categories and/or discuss the terms with an Abledata officer.]
(e.g. UNIVERSAL COMMUNICATION, Reading, Educational Aids, etc.).

Generic Term(s) (e.g. BLIND, LOW VISION, TALKING BOOK PLAYER, etc.).
