- The Nova Scotia Disabled Persons Commission
The objectives of the Disabled Persons Commission are to:
- assist the Coordinating Committee of Ministers in understanding, and advise the Coordinating Committee on the needs and abilities of persons with disabilities;
- make the general public aware of the needs and abilities of persons with disabilities;
- make persons with disabilities and the general public aware of government programs that serve persons with disabilities;
- make the general public aware of what it can do to facilitate the integration of persons with disabilities into the social and economic mainstream of the community.

- Premier's Council on the Status of Disabled Persons
The Premier's Council on the Status of Disabled Persons is a body for consultation and study which was created to advise the provincial government and the general public on matters relating to the status of persons with disabilities. The Council reports directly to the Premier of New Brunswick.
- CAMO pour personnes handicapées
CAMO's mission is to develop and implement (in close cooperation with the associations and organizations for persons with disabilities, the union movement, businesses and business organizations, as well as the organizations and departments involved) an intervention strategy to encourage access to the job market and to ensure that persons with disabilities remain employed.

- Assistive Devices Program (ADP)
Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care — The objective of ADP is to financially assist Ontario residents with long term physical disabilities to obtain basic, competitively priced, personalized assistive devices appropriate for the individual's needs and essential for independent living.

Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005
Recognizing the history of discrimination against persons with disabilities in Ontario, the purpose of this Act is to benefit all Ontarians by,
- developing, implementing and enforcing accessibility standards in order to achieve accessibility for Ontarians with disabilities with respect to goods, services, facilities, accommodation, employment, buildings, structures and premises on or before January 1, 2025; and
- providing for the involvement of persons with disabilities, of the Government of Ontario and of representatives of industries and of various sectors of the economy in the development of the accessibility standards.
- Aids to Independent Living (SAIL) program
The program provides benefits for people whose long term disabilities or illnesses leave them unable to function fully. The aim is to help people have more independent and active lifestyles.
- Alberta Aids to Daily Living
AADL's mandate is to assist individuals who have a chronic disability or illness and those who are terminally ill to receive authorized basic medical equipment and supplies for more independent functioning in a home or home like setting. The AADL budget is approximately $55 million and provides services to about 69,000 Albertans each year.
- SET BC
SET-BC is a Provincial Resource Program designed to assist school districts in British Columbia in meeting the technology needs of students with physical disabilities and visual impairments.
