Hyperlinking Policy

Before you request that a Web resource be added to the Assistive Technology Links Web site, please note the following conditions:

Types of sites

• Sites should be primarily non-commercial.
  
  
  • Sites may have a commercial component, but that may not be primary focus of the resource in question.
    
    
• The resource is ideally community-based or hosted by a not-for-profit organization.
  
  
• Information about products or services is not biased to particular manufacturers or vendors.
  
  

Accessibility of sites

• Sites linked from AT-Links should conform to at least Level "A" of the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 Recommendation and preferably conform to Level "Double-A" or better.
  
  
• At our discretion a link may be permitted to a non-conforming site if the content is of particular interest to a restricted audience (or community of interest), or if a site is of such apparent utility that not linking to it would be a significant loss to the community as a whole.
  
  
• If possible, please provide a statement of WCAG 1.0 conformance with the site you are submitting.
  
  
• AT-Links reserves the right to formulate statements, summaries or disclaimers about the accessibility, content and language of linked resources for the benefit of people using our site.
